Motorcyclist walks away from crash with ‘minor injuries’

A motorcycle driver was involved in a crash with a Peterbilt tractor-trailer on Thursday and walked away with just “minor injuries” to his left arm.

According to state police at Rockview, truck driver Debra Harrower, 56, and motorcycle operator Galen Miller, 71, were traveling west on U.S. Route 322 at the Mifflin and Centre county line in Armagh Township at about 11 a.m. When Miller began to pass the longbed trailer in the left lane, Harrower changed lanes, striking the motorcycle. The bike went under the trailer, becoming stuck in front of the rear axle. Miller was thrown from the motorcycle, striking the concrete barrier with his left arm.

The truck continued about 150 feet before coming to rest in the right lane, the motorcycle still trapped underneath.

Miller’s injuries were described by Centre County emergency dispatchers at the time as “hand lacerations.”
