Amish boy run over by wagon returns home

A 3-year-old Amish boy injured in a farm accident Friday afternoon near Madisonburg has been discharged from a hospital and is recovering at his Miles Township home.

According to a longtime local resident who knows the boy’s family, the boy, whose identity was not released, was sent home late Friday night from Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was flown there for treatment by a LifeFlight helicopter after falling off a spring wagon and being run over by a wheel.

The neighbor said he returned to his house by midnight and is expected to recover fully.
