Kane warns consumers about Home Depot breach

State Attorney General Kathleen Kane is cautioning consumers to be to be wary after Home Depot suffered a breach potentially affecting tens of millions of consumers nationwide, according to a news release.

Hackers reportedly accessed the retailer’s in-store payment systems, which may have affected customers at Home Depot, which has more than 50 stores in Pennsylvania, between April and early last week.

Home Depot will offer free identity protection and credit monitoring services to any customer who used a payment card at any of its affected stores.
