Philipsburg man injured in Saturday crash

A Philipsburg man sustained minor injuries when he lost control of his car Saturday in Rush Township.

According to state police at Philipsburg, who reported the accident Monday, Joshua Walk, 24, was traveling on state Route 504 when he failed to negotiate a right curve, drove onto the left shoulder of the road, struck a road sign and went down an embankment, hitting a tree and coming to a stop against another tree.

His car was towed away with damage to the front and driver’s side. Walk, who refused medical attention at the scene, was later charged with speeding.
