Transgender ‘Orange’ actress to speak at the HUB

Actress and outspoken transgender advocate Laverne Cox will speak at Penn State on Wednesday.

Cox, a star of “Orange Is the New Black” and the first trans-woman to produce and star in her own television show, “TRANSForm Me,” will speak at 8 p.m. in Alumni Hall in the HUB Robson Center.

Tickets for the event, sponsored by the LGBTA Student Resource Center and UPAC are free and are available at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the talk will live-streamed in Freeman Auditorium.
