Insult leads to Boggs Township traffic accident

A Boggs Township man wound up in the hospital after his digital salute led to a traffic accident.

Driving a 1994 Harley-Davidson motorcycle last Friday on Moose Run Road in Boggs Township, Anthony Dunn Jr., 41, stopped to give his neighbor the finger, state police at Rockview reported Thursday.

But a Ford Taurus driven by Anthony Dunn, 87, and Susan Dunn, 86, of Bellefonte, was following closely behind and could not stop in time. The car then hit the motorcycle.

Neither of the Ford’s occupants was injured, but Dunn Jr. was taken by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center with what police said were minor injuries. He was cited for careless driving.
