Man injuerd in Benner Pike collision

Two vehicles collided Wednesday at the intersection of Benner Pike and Shiloh Road, injuring one driver, State College police said.

According to police, Norman Walters Jr., 71, of Clarence, was driving west along Shiloh behind a bus at about 5:40 p.m. when he approached the intersection. The bus blocked his view of the traffic light, which had turned red.

Amanda Dale, 28, of Boalsburg was driving south along Benner when Walters hit her in the intersection, police said.

Walters was taken by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment, police said. No information about his injuries was available. Dale and a passenger, Ciera Miller, 28, of Bellefonte, reported injuries but declined treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
