Mike Negra, former president of the board of directors for the State Theatre, was named to the Liquor Control Board.

A Potter Township resident was named to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board on Thursday.

Mike Negra was named to the board by a unanimous vote, according to a news release from state Sen. Jake Corman’s office.

“I think Mike is a great choice for the LCB board,” Corman, R-Benner Township, said in a statement. “Not only does Mike have extensive experience in customer-based sales and marketing, but he also brings a great approach to managing that will pull the best out of this state-run operation.”

The LCB includes three voting members who serve four-year terms. Each member must be nominated by the governor and confirmed by the full state Senate.

Negra is a former executive director of the State Theatre and owner of Mike’s Movies in State College.
