With the second enrollment for health insurance approaching on Nov. 15, a public forum, “The Affordable Care Act: Getting Health Insurance for 2015” will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 28 at the State College Municipal Building, according to a news release.

Hosted in the Borough Council chambers, representatives from various Centre Region agencies, including the League of Women Voters, the Pennsylvania Health Access Network and the Centre Volunteers in Medicine, will be on hand to answer enrollment questions and and provide information about where people can go to get help, the release said.

Those who didn’t earn enough to purchase insurance through the ACA marketplace but didn’t qualify for Medicaid can now sign up for insurance through HealthyPA’s private coverage option, the release said. The sign up period begins Dec. 1.
