Man reports jewelry theft after leaving appraisal at Nittany Mall

An man reported Wednesday that he lost about $4,000 worth of jewelry while he was walking between the Nittany Mall and Summit Park, the site of the former Corning plant on East College Avenue, police said.

According to police, the man had gotten appraisals of a bridal set of three rings, a necklace and two other rings — made of gold, silver, diamonds and sapphires — at Kay Jewelers when the jewelry “disappeared” between the mall and his workplace.
