Bicyclist injured in collision with car in State College

A car collided with a bicycle at about 4 p.m. Friday at the intersection of South Pugh Street and East Beaver Avenue, police said.

According to police, Paul Ogurcak, 67, of Lititz, was headed south on Pugh in a Jeep Grand Cherokee when he made a left turn onto Beaver. At that same time, Samantha Roa, 20, of State College, was riding a bicycle north on Pugh heading through the intersection.

Ogurcak said he was turning left but didn’t see Roa approaching, police said. Roa was knocked off her bicycle.

She was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center with a minor ankle injury, police said.
