Penn State student hurt during indecent assault attempt

Police are investigating an indecent assault that took place at about 1 a.m. Friday near the intersection of Clover Alley and East Prospect Avenue.

According to State College police, a man “aggressively pushed to the ground” a female Penn State student, injuring her leg.

The suspect attempted to touch the woman while exposing himself, but the victim was able to escape, police said.

The suspect is described as white, mid-20s, about 5-foot-9 with a medium build and short, crew-cut hair with brown eyes, police said. He was also described as having a “larger than average nose and a small chin.”

The suspect was wearing a gray T-shirt with dark lettering and dark blue shorts, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call 234-7150 or submit information on the police website.
