A federal judge has ordered a conference for the parties in the NCAA’s lawsuit against state Treasurer Rob McCord and Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency Chairman Mark Zimmer.
In a document filed Friday, United States District Court Judge Yvette Kane ordered a phone conference between the parties at 2 p.m. on Nov. 25. The order specifies that the NCAA’s attorneys will initiate the phone call.
The NCAA is suing McCord and Zimmer over legality and enforceability of state Sen. Jake Corman’s Endowment Act, the legislation that would require the $60 million fine levied against Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal to be kept in a state-administered fund for the benefit of programs for victims.
