Bellefonte woman waives hearing on child endangerment charges

A Bellefonte woman suspected of endangering the welfare of two of her children waived her preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Beverly Duck, 25, was arrested Dec. 16 on two counts of child endangerment stemming from two incidents. The first occurred in August 2013, when Duck failed to provide proper care for a child that had a dislocated elbow, police said.

The second occurred in August at Mount Nittany Medical Center, according to police. Duck is accused of dropping her newborn child on the ground, police said. The baby was found to have a fractured skull, according to the criminal complaint.
