Applications are now being accepted for the the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Scholarship.
The program provides a four-year scholarship for two high school seniors, and is equivalent to a semester of tuition at the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education, for each of the four years, said state representative Kerry Benninghoff, (R-Bellefonte).
The scholarship is available to students who plan to attend college or a career school in-state.
Applicants must be legal Pennsylvania residents and have a minimum grade point average of a 3.0.
The scholarship was established in 2003 by the House of Representatives and The Foundation for Enhancing Communities — a Harrisburg-based organization that provides funding and resources for communities to grow, according to the organization’s website.
The deadline is March 1.
