The Red Cross announced Tuesday that volunteers are assisting four adults who were displaced by a house fire Monday afternoon in Unionville.

A new release from the Red Cross said food and clothing had been provided to the families.

The fire at the rental property at 301 Buttonwood St. started at about 1:50 p.m. and took fire crews about three hours to completely extinguish, said Adam Hoover, assistant chief at the Milesburg Fire Company.
