Injured puppy found along road in Marion Township, treated, later reunited with owner

State police at Rockview assisted a furry Centre County resident early Monday morning.

Marion Township municipal workers called state police at Rockview at about 7 a.m. regarding an injured puppy they’d found along Jacksonville Road, near Weights Lane.

The dog appeared to be a black Lab and about 5 months old, police said. Troopers took the dog to Confers Veterinary Clinic in Howard and no owner was identified at first, police said. The dog was treated for a minor injury to the lower back and was later reunited with the owner, veterinary staff said.
