State police at Rockview are investigating a hit-and-run crash Sunday on Interstate 80.
A Chevrolet Cobalt traveling west near mile marker 161 in Marion Township tried to pass a tractor-trailer when the truck drifted into the passing lane, forcing the driver of the car onto the shoulder of the road to avoid contact, police said.
The car lost control after hitting snow and struck the trailer of the truck, police said. The car then spun clockwise, hit an embankment in the median, flipped onto its roof and slid about 45 feet, according to state police.
The truck didn’t stop and is thought to be a Con-way Freight vehicle, police said.
