An early morning fire destroyed a garage in Centre Hall on Thursday.

The call came in to local fire companies at about 3:40 a.m. and they responded to a home at 136 E. Church St. The garage was attached to the residence and the fire was contained to the garage, though some smoke entered the house, Centre Hall Fire Chief Philip Orndorf said. A vehicle in the garage was destroyed.

Firefighters from Bellefonte, Miles Township, Pleasant Gap and Boalsburg also responded.

There’s no indication of a cause and the incident is being investigated by a state police fire marshal, Orndorf said.
