Sunny Days Adult Day Care closed after truck hits building

A Pleasant Gap business closed Monday after an early morning accident where a pickup truck crashed into the front entrance. A 20-year-old Milesburg man, Hunter McClellan, said he fell asleep after working all night doing snow removal. The man’s Chevy Silverado hit the front of Sunny Days Adult Daily Living Center located at 300 S. Harrison Road, in Pleasant Gap at 630 a.m., before the business opened for the day.

A one vehicle accident Monday morning has closed a business in Pleasant Gap.

A pickup truck hit the front of Sunny Days Adult Daily Living Center on South Harrison Road about 6:30 a.m., according to Spring Township police. The center wasn’t open at the time. The driver told police he worked through the night doing snow removal and fell asleep at the wheel, police said.

Sunny Days CEO Heather Cassidy said repairs are underway and the center will be open Tuesday.
