An 87-year-old was flown to Geisinger Medical Center after a crash Saturday afternoon in Patton Township.
About 2 p.m., the driver was traveling west on Stevenson Road and rolled through the stop sign at the intersection with North Atherton Street. The vehicle traveled across Atherton, before striking and going over the guardrail. The vehicle ended up on top of the guardrail, police said. The driver, who was not identified by police pending notification of family, had to be freed by Alpha firefighters and was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center and then to Geisinger.
Patton Township police were assisted at the scene by Alpha Fire Company and Alpha Fire Police.
