Construction crews closed one lane in each direction of U.S. Route 322 at the Oak Hall exit on Monday, beginning a project from that interchange to the Interstate 99 interchange at Innovation Park, according to a news release from PennDOT spokeswoman Marla Fannin.

Lanes will narrow and shift and the speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph in the area of the Oak Hall interchange due to bridge work through July.

Other work will include patching, base repair, paving and bridge and deck repairs, Fannin said.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is the contractor on on the project, which will cost $5.1 million.
