2 injured in Scotia Barrens crash

Emergency personnel responded to a one-vehicle crash in the Scotia Barrens on Monday that left a vehicle on its side in water and two people injured.

At about 11 a.m., a gray Chevrolet Trailblazer crashed and ended up on its side in standing water about 2 feet deep along Heritage Trail Road in Halfmoon Township.

Two people were in the vehicle. Both had to be extricated and were taken to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Centre LifeLink EMS. Alpha Fire Company, Patton Township police and state police at Philipsburg were also on scene.

More information will follow after the completion of an accident report by state police.
