A fire weather watch, which means critical fire weather conditions are forecast, has been issued for the region and will be in effect through Saturday evening.
The affected areas include the central and north-central mountains and lower Susquehanna River Valley. Winds will travel northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph with temperatures from 65 to 75 degrees throughout the day.
Wildfires and prescribed burns could rapidly develop and spread, according to The Weather Channel, which warned against outside burning.
