Victim identified in Penn Township motorcycle crash

The victim of a motorcycle crash Sunday in Penn Township has been identified.

Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers said Monday that Rodney Aderhold, 46, was traveling west in the 4500 block of Penns Valley Road when his motorcycle left the road and struck a utility pole.

Aderhold was pronounced dead at the scene. Sayers said an autopsy was completed and Aderhold died of blunt force trauma. The death was ruled accidental.

He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
