An 18-year-old man from Bellefonte and a 17-year-old girl from Beech Creek were killed in a car crash early Saturday in Clinton County.
About 3:30 a.m., Jordan King was driving south on state Route 664 in Gallagher Township, Clinton County, “at a high rate of speed,” state police at Lamar said. While going around a curve, King lost control of the 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier he was driving and struck a tree on the road's shoulder. The crash separated the car in half and King and his passenger, Carly Miller, were ejected from the vehicle. Neither was wearing a seat belt, police said.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene by Clinton County Coroner Zach Hanna.
Hanna said the cause of death for both was multiple blunt force trauma. The manner of death was ruled accidental.
