As part of a select group of 25 county leaders from across the country, Centre County Commissioner Michael Pipe was chosen to participate in the 12th Annual County Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C.

The institute encourages county officials to “consider innovative approaches to address key issues facing their counties and constituents,” developing different approaches to solving complex challenges.”

“This is a unique opportunity to learn from national experts and work with other county leaders as we strengthen our skills to tackle some of our greatest challenges including reforming our criminal justice system, increasing citizen engagement and making government more transparent,” Pipe said in a statement.
