Centre Hall teen hurt, flown to Hershey Medical Center, after Route 45 crash

A Centre Hall teenager was flown to Hershey Medical Center after he sustained “major injuries” in a crash on state Route 45 in Haines Township early Friday morning, according to state police at Rockview.

According to a police report, the 17-year-old was driving eastbound in a Chevrolet Lumina and, while negotiating a left curve in the road, traveled across the westbound lane, up an embankment and into a tree, causing major damage to the vehicle. The damage forced first responders to work to extricate the teen fron the vehicle.
