The 4th Fest Parade route has been announced. The parade will form around the State College Municipal Building and steps off at 2 p.m. Saturday and follow this route:

• North on South Allen Street to East College Avenue

• East on East College to Shortlidge Road

• North on Shortlidge to Pollock Road

• East on Pollock to Bigler Road

• North on Bigler to Curtin Road

• East on Curtin and ending near the Bryce Jordan Center

State College police said the route will be closed to traffic from 2 until about 3:30 p.m. Parking is restricted along the route. Motorists could experience traffic delays. Westbound traffic on College Avenue will be detoured onto University Drive.

The fireworks display is expected to begin about 9:20 p.m., and drivers should be aware of the following when coming to and leaving the event.

For inbound traffic, Porter Road and Orchard Road will be closed from about 8 p.m. until the end of the fireworks. Motorists will not be permitted to park along the streets near the stadium, along the Mount Nittany Expressway, Route 220/I-99 or Orchard Road. Parking restrictions will be enforced, and violators will be ticketed and/or towed.

At about 9:40 p.m., Park Avenue will be one-way westbound from Fox Hollow Road to North Atherton Street, Park Avenue will be one-way eastbound from Fox Hollow Road to Orchard Road and Porter Road will be one-way southbound from Beaver Stadium to East College Avenue until traffic has cleared.

Motorists should expect delays when leaving the event, as volume is expected to be as heavy as that encountered during a Penn State football game.
