An 81-year-old man died after his vehicle crashed into a house at about 7:35 a.m. Thursday on Oldside Road in Clarence.
Rockview state trooper Jacob Hebdon said the man was driving east on Clarence Road in Snow Shoe Township when he had a medical emergency.
James Schall, of Clarence, drove through the Clarence and Oldside roads intersection and into a home at 110 Oldside Road, Hebdon said.
The man’s vehicle came to a rest under the porch of the home, where first responders extricated him, Hebdon said.
“Apparently he had a stroke,” Hebdon said.
One man was home at the time of the accident, but he was not injured, Hebdon said.
Schall was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center and then to Hershey Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at about 11 a.m. due to head trauma, Hebdon said.
