Haines Township farmhouse destroyed by fire

A single-family farmhouse was deemed a total loss Friday night after a fire in Haines Township.

Millheim Fire Co. Capt. Dave King said fire officials were dispatched to 207 Farmall Drive about 7 p.m.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control by about 10 p.m., King said.

King said the family was at home when the fire was reported, but no one was injured.

He did not know the cause.

Millheim and Gregg Township fire companies responded to the scene with help from Centre Hall, Boalsburg and Union County West End fire department, and Pleasant Gap ambulance that was on standby.
