State Patty’s attacker gets jail sentence

Justin Blake will spend three to six years in state prison for his 2014 burglary and assault of a woman in her State College apartment.

On Wednesday, Clinton County Senior Judge Michael Williamson, specially presiding in Centre County, sentenced Blake, who had previously entered a guilty plea to one count each of burglary, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and criminal trespass, all felonies, and one count of indecent assault without consent, a misdemeanor.

According to the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, a felony count of rape was withdrawn at the time of sentencing.

Blake will also be required to register as a sex offender.

The charges stem from an incident in March 2014 during State Patty’s Day, a student-created drinking holiday.
