A Pleasant Gap woman is charged with having sex with an area youth.
Sherry Nicole Miller, 24, was charged with one count of statutory sexual assault and one count of indecent assault of a person less than 16 in documents filed Wednesday.
According to state police at Rockview, the charges stem from a July incident.
Trooper Michael Glentzer said in his affidavit of probable cause that he interviewed Miller on July 22, when she related events that happened July 5. Glentzer said Miller told him she sat on the victim’s lap at a campfire. What started with kissing later progressed to sexual intercourse.

Trooper Jeffrey Ebeck interviewed the victim in August and heard a similar story.
The incident came to light a week after the alleged encounter when someone noticed bruises on Miller’s neck. Miller told the other individual that she got the bruises when having sex with the youth. According to Glentzer’s affidavit, Miller said she would do it again.
Miller is free on $20,000 unsecured bail after being arraigned by District Judge Tom Jordan.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 4.
