Five women purchased gift cards and merchandise worth about $25,000 from the Benner Pike Wal-Mart, but police say they used fraudulent credit cards.

State College police are investigating the thefts, which occurred at about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspects were seen leaving in a dark gray hatchback, possibly a Pontiac Vibe, according to police.

Authorities ask that anyone who could identify the suspects contact police at 234-7150, by email or submit an anonymous tip.
