Huntingdon man dies after Ferguson Township crash

One of the drivers in a two-vehicle crash in Ferguson Township has died, according to the township.

Darryn Couch, 27, of Huntingdon, died at UPMC Altoona late Saturday, a Ferguson Township police news release said. Couch died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Couch was traveling south on Nixon Road and failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection of Whitehall Road, police said. He was hit by a vehicle traveling west on Whitehall.

The occupants of the second vehicle, an unnamed 18-year-old from Pennsylvania Furnace and a 15-year-old passenger, were treated and released, police said. The occupants in both vehicles were wearing their seat belts.
