Five fire companies were dispatched to a dwelling fire in Benner Township.
The fire began at about 10 a.m. on 904 Purdue Mountain Road.
Alpha, Citizen’s, Logan, Pleasant Gap and Undine fire companies responded to the blaze. Officials would not allow media within a few miles of the fire.
Road damage, caused by flooding in October, made it difficult for first responders to reach the fire, as they had to travel “the long way around.”
