Kevin Newsome, a highly sought-after quarterback prospect from Norfolk, Va., announced his decision to commit to Penn State during a news conference Tuesday evening at a Portsmouth restaurant, according to The Daily Press of Hampton, Va.
Newsome had previously committed to Michigan in April, then re-opened his recruitment in August. He is Penn State's 22nd recruit of the Class of 2009, the first projected as a college quarterback.
