Tom Murray, President and CEO of Mount Nittany Medical Center since 2001, is leaving the job, and a search for his replacement is underway.
According to the medical center, Murray’s departure comes as the medical center is starting to implement its newest five-year strategic plan.
“With a new five-year strategic plan taking shape, Mount Nittany Medical Center is poised for the future — making this a good time for me to step aside and for another person to begin leading this wonderful organization through its next phase of development,” Murray said in news release.
According to the medical center, there is no specific timeline for finding Murray’s replacement. A search committee has been formed. In the meantime, Chief Financial Officer Rich Wisniewski is serving as interim president and CEO.
