A 41-year-old woman was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center on Sunday after an apparent heroin overdose, according to State Police reports.
The woman, who remained unidentified, required treatment after a heroin injection. She was treated at the scene, which police believe was in a vehicle at State Route 150 and Interstate 80 in Boggs Township. Evidence was collected from the vehicle and is being sent to a regional lab for testing, according to the report.
Charges for possession of drug paraphernalia are pending as the investigation continues, police said.
