Pilot named in crash near University Park Airport

The pilot of the plane that crashed Thursday near University Park Airport has been named.

Centre County Coroner Scott Sayers identified the pilot as Gary Orner, of White Oak.

Sayers said he is waiting to receive dental records for the passenger, who is expected to be identified Friday. Sources identified the passenger as Dr. Robert Arffa, a corneal surgeon specializing in refractive Lasik vision correction.
