Niche named a pair of Centre County communities as two of the top 15 places to live.

Niche, a website that pairs people to schools and neighborhoods “that are right for you,” analyzed public data sets and “millions” of reviews to produce rankings, report cards and profiles for every school district, college and neighborhood in the U.S.

College Township made the list at No. 7, and Ferguson Township came in at No. 12 on Niche’s recently released 2016 Best Places to Live rankings. Harris Township came in at No. 110, Patton Township at No. 137 and State College at No. 549.

The rankings are out of more than 10,000 communities based on data from the U.S. census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other sources.
