If history is any indication, Happy Valley will turn out in droves.
The Color Run will return to Penn State on Sept. 25, its fourth on the campus in as many years. It will also have a new twist to its colors.
The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour 2016 will bring “a 5K paradise straight to your city with a sweet Tropicolor Zone on course, all-new Rainbow Beach at the Finish Festival and a fresh island-style participant kit,” according to the company’s site.

More than 10,000 people have registered for the 5K in each of the past two years.
The run will begin at 4:30 p.m. near Medlar Field, and participants will be let go in waves. Details for the event’s check-in party, event guide and a course map have not been released.
The Color Run will also partner with Penn State Homecoming Committee, and proceeds will benefit the student-run organization.
