Road work set to begin near Milesburg

Work is scheduled to begin Monday on state routes 150 and 144 near Milesburg.

The work zone will start at the Interstate 80 eastbound off-ramp at Exit 158 and continue along routes 150 south and 144 north toward Wingate, the state Department of Transportation said.

Drivers should expect long-term lane closures during the project, which is expected to be completed in late August.

Work will include shoulder widening, repaving, pavement markings, and guide rail replacements and updates, PennDOT said.

The project is weather-dependent, and may necessitate flaggers in the roadway at times.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc., of State College, is the contractor on the $2.5 million project.
