Miller’s Hoagies, the sandwich shop in the stone house at 304 Turnpike St. in Milesburg, was robbed at knifepoint Sunday, according to state police at Rockview.
Police say that at about 9:15 p.m. a white man, “possibly in his 30s,” entered the restaurant. He was carrying a black knife and wearing a dark-colored bandana over his face. He demanded money from the two employees behind the counter. According to police, the man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
But business was business at Miller’s on Monday. At lunchtime, employees were slicing bread, piling on lettuce and rolling cold cuts for their signature take on a submarine sandwich.
They all declined to comment about the incident.
