Frank Royer was at the Spring Township building from the moment it opened Tuesday until the moment it closed, and it seems to have paid off.
Royer took home 57.47 percent of the vote and defeated challenger Stephen Zelznick, who received 42.17 percent, according to unofficial results Tuesday. He will win his fourth term on the Board of Supervisors.
“I’m glad to get the support of the people after 18 years,” Royer said about the win.
Royer received 631 total votes, besting Zelznick’s 463, who was making his first run at the board.

In what likely would be his final term, Royer said he would like to upgrade some of the parks in the township and continue to balance the budgets without any tax increases.
He said they will pass the 2014 budget at the next board meeting, which won’t include a tax increase and will likely yield a surplus.
