Following an agreement between several Bellefonte businesses and the FaithCentre Food Bank, FaithCentre Executive Director Nicole Summers reaffirmed that while parking by the food bank has been adjusted, hours will remain the same.
“We wanted to make sure that the hundreds of people we serve were not confused by the changes in parking regulation or inferred that their food distribution days were altered,” Summers said in an email.
Meters will be bagged with 15 minute parking allowed by the food bank, Mayor Thomas Wilson said Monday. The meters will be bagged Tuesdays and Thursdays, but food bank primary distribution days will remain Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m., Summers said.
“The bagging of meters on Tuesday will help ensure smooth produce delivery on that day,” she said. “Food bank operation hours remain the same and we ask our clients to please be patient.”
