Penns Valley Road closed after multi-vehicle crash in Gregg Township
A section of a heavily traveled road was closed during rush hour Friday after a multi-vehicle crash in Penns Valley.
Both lanes of state Route 45 were closed between Ross Hill Road and Heckman Cemetery Road in Gregg Township, a state Department of Transportation website showed.
A driver of a pickup and motorcyclist collided about 2:45 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Penns Valley Road and Penns Cave Road, according to Centre County dispatch reports.
The Centre Hall Volunteer Fire Co., Gregg Township Fire Co. and Penns Valley EMS were among those that responded. Messages were left with state police at Rockview.
There were 10 crashes that involved a motorcycle between 2012 and 2021 in Gregg Township, PennDOT data showed. That was the third most in Penns Valley, trailing Potter Township (17) and Miles Township (11).
