Rush Township residents will be keeping their tax-free property status in 2014.
The Rush Township Board of Supervisors recently gave tentative approval to the 2014 budget. The spending plan keeps the real estate tax millage set at zero for another year. The municipality operates off of other funding sources, like earned income and real estate transfer taxes.
The general fund budget shows $492,628 in income, with expenditures of just $438,837, according to township Secretary Joan Cowher.
The state fund budget shows the income and outgo for commonwealth-sourced funds, like liquid fuels money. That plan shows $179,435 in receipts and $163,200 in expenditures for highway-related maintenance and repair projects.
