One person was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in Rush Township early Saturday morning.
State police at Philipsburg said the crash happened at 3:12 a.m. as Melinda Patterson, the driver of a 2012 blue Nissan Rogue, was headed north on Tyrone Pike and crossed into the southbound lane of travel striking on oncoming Mack truck, head-on, driven by William Albright, 55, of Osceola Mills.
Patterson, 37, of Philipsburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Albright sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center by Mountain Top EMS.

Both vehicles sustained front-end damage and were towed at the scene.
The state Department of Transportation, Philipsburg and Mountain Top fire officials, and Pennsylvania American Water also assisted at the scene.
