CATA routes affected by Penn State homecoming parade Friday

Penn State’s homecoming parade will make several roads and buildings inaccessible to CATA buses.

East Halls, Wagner, the Intramural., Shields and White buildings, the Centre County Visitors Center, Hastings, Bigler, Burrowes and Pollock roads, College Avenue between University Drive and North Atherton Street and Pugh Street between Fairmount and College avenues will be affected between 5 and 9 p.m. Friday.

There also will be no access to the Stadium East and Stadium West parking lots, the Jordan East parking lot near Medlar Field or the Lot 44 parking lot.

Centre Area Transportaion Authority routes that will be affected include: A, B, G, HP, K, M, N, NV, R, RP, S, UT, V, VN, W, XB and XG. The White Loop and Red Link will experience detours on campus but will serve regular stops with the exception of those within the vicinity of the areas listed above.

There will be no Blue Loop or Green Link service.

Passengers who usually board at College and Allen are encouraged to pick up at the Pattee Transit Center on Curtin Road during the parade.
